As per speculations Pegatron is powering the Surface Pro 5 as Microsoft has given the manufacturing contract to Pegatron for the Surface Pro 5. There are rumors that the Surface Pro 5 will have a 4K display and a wirelessly rechargeable stylus. There are speculations that this new announcement of Microsoft will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor that will bring benefits like longer battery life. This new lineup will be using a seventh-generation Intel Core chip and will be running Windows 10 as default OS. Although lots of rumors are circulating about the new Surface Pro, but it’s early to say anything about it. However most of the rumors seem to be true and logical.

Surface Pro 5 Specifications and Price Rumors

There are multiple rumors and speculations about processor and power of the new Surface Pro 5. Some say it will have the sixth-generation Skylake chip and other say it will be the following generation, codenamed Kaby Lake whereas others say the Pro 5 will switch to a Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-chip (SoC) for giving it better battery life because Microsoft has demoed Windows 10 running on an ARM processor. Pro 5 may have the latest generation of Intel processor.

The Surface Pen will bundle an updated stylus that will be charged wirelessly. Rumors suggested that the Surface Pro 5 will come with a 2K as well as 4K screen and touts an upgrade to 16GB of RAM. The USB port is one other specification for an upgrade and the Surface Pro 5 may be the first in the range to have a USB-C port instead of the USB 3.0 port on the Pro 4. USB-C port could also be used for charging.

It is expected that the Surface pro 5 will hopefully have MU-MIMO support with the latest versions of Wi-Fi and cameras are the other likely components to see upgrades. It is expected that Microsoft will charge similar price for each version of the Pro 5 as it charged for the surface pro. However, you will see a difference in price range as the model range varies.
